Our story began nearly ten years ago in Melbourne, Florida, where Ryan worked as an Activities Director at an assisted living facility. Working closely with seniors and their families, he saw firsthand how overwhelming the transition from a longtime family home to assisted living could be.

He began helping families through these transitions, assisting with downsizing, moving, and preparing their homes for what came next. Over time, those services expanded to include estate sale cleanouts, property repairs, and handyman work.

When Ryan relocated to St. Louis to be closer to his father, Jim, a new chapter began. Father and son joined forces, combining Ryan's experience in senior living and property transitions with Jim's hands-on approach to getting things done. Together, they began working with local estate sale companies, helping families clear out properties and prepare homes for their next owners.

Over the past three years, Ryan and Jim have worked side by side, seeing firsthand the challenges families and real estate agents face. Once an estate sale was complete, clients were often left juggling multiple contractors for cleaning, repairs, landscaping, moving, and everything else needed to get a home ready for sale.

They also recognized that seniors transitioning into assisted living or downsizing to a retirement community faced many of the same challenges. With Ryan's background in senior living and Jim's involvement in the day-to-day property work, they understood both the personal and practical sides of these transitions.

Through countless conversations and projects, Ryan and Jim began asking themselves a simple question: Why should families and real estate agents have to coordinate so many different companies when one trusted team could handle it all?

That idea became The Final Key Company.

Together, Ryan and Jim set out to build a family-owned business that could manage the entire property transition process, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.

Today, The Final Key Company serves the Greater St. Louis area, offering estate sale services, property cleanouts, handyman work, landscaping, moving assistance, senior living transitions, and complete property preparation.
